Lisa* (63) finished school early and had no formal qualifications. She is living with a heart condition and back spasms which required surgery. Due to this, Lisa experienced depression and difficulties securing employment.
Lisa reached out to atWork Australia in Hurstville where she met Job Coach, Jaswin. Jaswin assisted Lisa by motivating her regularly and communicating the advantages of work. Jaswin worked very hard to refer Lisa to suitable roles.
Lisa was able to secure a pick-packer role with Jaswin’s assistance. When Jaswin told Lisa the good news she: “said it was her dream job. However, Lisa was unsure if the workplace environment was going to be suitable.”
Job Coach Jaswin further conducted a workplace assessment to ensure that the environment was going to be suitable for her.

Jaswin went above and beyond by visiting Lisa’s workplace at 9:30pm, as she works late night shifts. Jaswin wanted to check in on Lisa as she experienced an issue, and Jaswin wanted to ensure she was assisting Lisa to resolve the issue.
