Monique came to atWork Australia’s Caboolture office in Outer North Brisbane to find support to gain meaningful employment. Monique had been unemployed for the previous three years. However, she had been consistently searching for work throughout this period but found it difficult due to her health barriers. Monique realised she needed extra support to find employment, and that’s when she reached out to atWork Australia.
When Monique came to atWork Australia, she had been experiencing a run of bad luck. She had been involved in not one, but two accidents (not work related). Monique acquired multiple injuries, which required surgery and a lengthy recovery period. Monique took some time to get back on her feet and fully recover from her injuries. When Monique met her Job Coach, Danielle, they began developing a plan for how atWork Australia could support her back into the workplace. As a result of Monique’s injuries and having spent three years unemployed, she has experienced a loss of confidence, low self-esteem and self-worth.
Monique was starting to believe that no one would employ her. She also had other personal issues that she needed to take care of and was juggling family commitments.
Danielle wanted to support Monique to rebuild her confidence and started by referring Monique to atWork Australia’s online program, Positivum. Positivum addresses beliefs and perceptions relating to health and work and provides online coaching, to help clients build their confidence and find the right job for them.

Monique’s hard work, dedication and never giving up attitude is now paying off. Monique has recently started a new job as a Kitchen Assistant.
