Job Coach, Kelly, and Workforce Australia client, Jaiden, prove to be the perfect pair after Jaiden lands a position that he loves.
Jaiden entered the atWork Australia doors in Mount Druitt, NSW, looking for a new position after nine months out of work. Little did he know at the time, he would be getting a lot more than that.
Within his initial consultation, Kelly and Jaiden got to know each other. This would allow Kelly to create a tailored Job Plan that was catered to his employment history, goals and skills.
Jaiden shared that he was Indigenous, so as a first step on his journey, he was enrolled in the Jobs for the Mob program. Not only did this program teach Jaiden a lot about his community, but he also picked up some job-searching skills too.
During and after completing this course, Kelly and Jaiden built on his confidence, motivation, and skills towards finding and sustaining employment.
Once Jaiden was ready, Kelly began looking for suitable positions. Within her searches, she found a Rail Protection Officer role, and felt he was a great fit. After discussing this with Jaiden, Kelly supported Jaiden to apply.
One job interview later, Jaiden landed the role. He was ecstatic and could not wait to start.
For this role, there were specific clothing and technology requirements, but Jaiden did not fear as he had atWork Australia and Kelly by his side.
