Workforce Australia client, Rhiannan suddenly found herself without employment.
The flow on effect of this impacted her life. She became homeless and the sudden change affected her mental health.
She was connected with atWork Australia in Invermay for assistance.
“Rhiannan found it challenging after suddenly losing employment,” said her Job Coach, Ashlee.
“She was unsure if she wanted to try to stay local or move closer to family for support.”
Rhiannan appreciated the flexible service during this time, with reduced PBAS points, and phone appointments when needed. She was grateful for additional support through grocery vouchers.
Ashlee supported Rhiannan to pick up work as a cleaner, and provided fuel vouchers so she could get to and from work. She was also supported to purchase work related clothing for this new role.
Soon after starting work as a cleaner, Rhiannan secured a rental house closer to her family and needed to move.
“Rhiannan quickly landed an interview, then a job, at the local tavern near her new home,” said Ashlee.
“atWork Australia is now supporting her to complete her responsible gambling course to help her progress her employment with the tavern further.”
“Rhiannan is now progressing forwards and thriving in stable employment,” said Ashlee.
