NORTEC agreement expands atWork Australia’s Disability Employment Services (DES) into Richmond, North Coast and Coffs Harbour, NSW
NORTEC Chief Executive Officer Kim Harrison welcomed the agreement, saying that whilst NORTEC would no longer be providing Disability Employment Services, its DES team and DES clients would benefit from the enhanced suite of allied health services that atWork Australia offer.
“We thank all of NORTEC’s current and former Disability Employment Service team members, participants and employers, who we have worked with over the years to provide this important service and resulting employment opportunities across the Richmond, North Coast and Coffs Harbour communities. NORTEC looks forward to atWork Australia continuing and evolving this great service as we continue to focus on our core jobactive, Small Business and Commercial Staffing Solutions business.”
General Manager of atWork Australia, Michael Kolomyjec, said the agreement expanded atWork Australia’s footprint from 51 Employment Service Areas to 53, providing employment support to people with disability across 217 locations in six states.
“We are also delighted to welcome seven talented people to the atWork Australia team. People with disability who are looking for a job will still be dealing with the same great people, in the same locations offering an excellent service.” Michael said.
The agreement took effect on 3 December 2018. Services will be delivered by the same people in the same locations – under a co-location arrangement – with no disruption to clients. In the coming weeks, you will see atWork Australia branding for Disability Employment Services appear alongside current NORTEC jobactive branding, in existing NORTEC locations.
